Localised HMRC activities
Since 2010, HMRC have identified various industries and regions which they consider to be high risk for tax evasion. These regions or industries have been subject to increased monitoring and investigation through designated taskforces.
When HMRC have identified a specific group or type of taxpayer to target, they will run campaigns offering an opportunity for these taxpayers to set matters right.
